This is just the beginning, whatever promise we have made to the people of Delhi, it will be fulfilled at any cost: Rekha Gupta

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new footpath at SU Block Park in Pitampura area on Wednesday. After this, while addressing the people, she also counted the successes of her government. While counting the achievements of her government, she said that this is just the beginning. Whatever we have promised to the people of Delhi, it will be fulfilled at any cost. We have not made any big promise to the people of Delhi, but whatever we have made, it will definitely be fulfilled.

CM Gupta also targeted the previous AAP government and said that instead of working for the people of Delhi, the previous AAP government spent all its time in internal conflicts, due to which the people here had to face a lot of problems. I have no hesitation in saying that if the previous government had worked for Delhi at that time, then today people would definitely not have to face these challenges. But, I assure all of you that today there is a government working in Delhi, which believes in working for the benefit of the people without getting into useless controversies. We have taken many big decisions for Delhi so far and will definitely continue to take them in the future as well.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the problem of stray dogs. He said, “At present, the problem of stray dogs is becoming serious. This problem is in our knowledge. We are trying to develop such a system under which neither the common people nor the mute animals face any problem.”

He further said, “It has been determined by the World Health Organization that it is mandatory to have at least two beds per thousand people, but look at the insensitivity of the previous government that there was not even one bed per thousand people in Delhi. We took this seriously and now we have decided that there will be three beds per thousand people in every hospital in Delhi. We do not want that any person in Delhi should be deprived of treatment.”

Apart from this, he also expressed his views on the Ayushman Yojana. He said that the previous government in Delhi did not allow it to be implemented due to its political malice, but we implemented it immediately after coming to power and tried to ensure that no person in Delhi is deprived of treatment.

Highlighting the advantages of the Ayushman scheme, the CM said that you will not find such a scheme in any country in the world. You will find this scheme only in India. In other countries, even if there is a health-related scheme, this facility is available only to those who are taxpayers, but under the Ayushman scheme, we have ensured that every person gets its benefit. Whether he pays tax or not. (Input-IANS)
