Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) is a Not – for – Profit Organization, registered under the Indian Companies Act, 1956.
The Council has been promoted by Six Associations i.e. CEAMA, ELCINA, IESA, IPCA MAIT, ELCOMA, supported by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), ESSCI has been recognized by NCVET as an awarding body for ESDM sector.

ESSCI’s focus is on establishing an effective and efficient ecosystem for developing and imparting of outcome-oriented skills for the Electronics Systems, Design and Manufacturing Industry (ESDM). ESSCI’s mandate comprises plethora of deliverables including development of curriculum, courses, information database, delivery system. ESSCI is responsible for standardization, accreditation and certification processes to enhance the employability of the Indian workforce globally.
The ESSCI’s focus is on establishing an effective and efficient ecosystem for developing and imparting of outcome oriented skills for the Electronics Systems, Design and Manufacturing Industry (ESDM) as per Skill India Mission for the Indian Market and Global market.We are mandated to support flagships Program like Make in India, Digital India, Start-up India, etc. in the county and are aligned to the vision of taking the country forward by being the skill development enablers for the major flagship program of the Government of India.
ESSCI’s undertakes complete CSR project consultancy, Livelihoods projects under CSR, PIA for CSR projects and undertaking Assessment & certification under CSR funding and has undertaken several projects in the last few years.
ESSCI has over 1100 training partners having over 4550 training centres across the country, that are well equipped to undertake skill development across job roles in all segments of ESDM. ESSCI has developed 161 Qualification Packs (QPs)

Skill India Digital Hub: Skill India Digital Hub is specially designed and developed to skill, reskill and upskill Indian individuals through an online training platform, API-based trusted skill credentials, payment and discovery layers for jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities. NCVET: National Council for Vocational Education and Training
The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) was established as a regulatory body by the Government of India through Gazette Notification No. SD-17/113/2017-E&PW dated 5th December 2018. It has been fully operational since 1st August 2020. The NCVET serves as an overarching national regulator with the aim of setting standards, developing comprehensive regulations, and improving the vocational education, training, and skilling ecosystem.
The primary objective of NCVET is to ensure strong industry interfacing and implement effective regulations that enhance the quality and outcomes of vocational education and training. It is responsible for the development, qualitative improvement, and regulation of vocational education and training systems. Additionally, NCVET grants recognition to and monitors the functioning of awarding bodies, assessment agencies, and skill information providers. It also performs other incidental functions as specified in its resolution. NCVET’s mission is to integrate the fragmented regulatory system and infuse quality assurance across the entire vocational education, training, and skilling value chain. By doing so, it aims to facilitate the availability of highly skilled manpower, improving employability and contributing to the accelerated growth of the Indian economy.
NSDC: National Skill Development Corporation
At the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), we are dedicated to empowering India’s youth through comprehensive skill development. Established on July 31, 2008, as a not-for-profit public limited company under section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 (now corresponding to section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013), we operate as a unique Public Private Partnership (PPP) model under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). Our collaborative structure, with 49% of the share capital held by the government and 51% by the private sector, enables us to be the principal architects of India’s skill ecosystem. We actively support enterprises, start-ups, and organizations by providing funding support, concessional loans, and other innovative financial products. Our mission is to enhance, support, and coordinate private sector initiatives in vocational training, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder skill development. Electronic Industries Association of India
ELCINA was established in 1967 when India’s Electronics industry was still in its infancy. Since then, ELCINA has been well known as an interactive forum for electronics and IT manufacturers. Apart from the basic objective of promoting hardware manufacturing through active representation and advice to the Government, ELCINA has been networking with national and international technical institutions and business promotion bodies to further the interests of its members. Today, in an increasingly liberalized environment, there is greater focus on professional and value-added services rendered by the Association to the Electronics and IT Community.
India Electronics & Semiconductor Association
IESA is the premier trade body representing the Indian Electronic System Design and Manufacturing ESDM industry and has represented it since 2005. It has over 180 members -both domestic and multinational enterprises. IESA is committed towards building global awareness for the Indian ESDM industry and supporting its growth through focused initiatives in developing the ecosystem. This is through publishing credible data, networking events and alliances with other international associations. IESA works closely with the Government as a knowledge partner on the sector, both at the center and at the state level.
Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association
Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association is an all India organization in the Consumer Electronics and Durables sector. It has been in existence for over 33 years. Presently, there are about 100 members.
Manufacturer’s Association for Information Technology
Set up in 1982 for purposes of scientific, educational and IT Industry promotion, MAIT has emerged as an effective, influential and dynamic organization. Representing Hardware, Training, R & amp; D & Hardware Design and other associated service segments of the Indian IT Industry, MAIT’s charter is to develop a globally competitive Indian IT Industry, promote the usage of IT in India, strengthen the role of IT in national economic development, promote business through international alliances, promote quality consciousness in the IT Industry and transform the Indian IT Industry into a World Scale Industry leading to a World Class Usage and thus a world size market.
Electrical Lamp and Component Manufacturers Association of India
On 29th June, 1970, the electric lamps and components manufacturers in India founded ‘Electric Lamp and Component Manufacturers Association of India – (ElCOMA)’ representing the entire lighting industry. The main purpose founding members had in mind was to establish liaison with government bodies and to support each other in matters connected with lighting industry.
Indian Printed Circuit Association
The Indian Printed Circuit Association popularly known as IPCA, had its humble beginning in the year 1985 when a few leading PCB technocrats met at Bombay with proclaimed preamble promote the interests and welfare of PCB industry and allied industries in general. Thus a new chapter in the history of PCB industry in this country emerged with IPCA at the helm of affairs under the able leadership of its Founder-President Dr. Venkatachalam, MD of HI-Q Electronics, Hosur, and the founder Secretary, Mr. R.K. Singh, then from ECIL, Hyderabad.
