Brief: Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are at the forefront of economic transformation in India. However, they are facing mounting pressures from volatile policy landscapes, geo-economic slowdowns as well as trade tensions and supply chain challenges.

Recent geopolitical shifts, including Trump-era tariffs, have raised costs and complexity for MSMEs in global trade. At the same time, heavy reliance on China-centric supply chains has exposed vulnerabilities, pushing MSMEs to diversify sourcing and operations.

For MSMEs, the ability to anticipate, adapt, and respond to these multifaceted uncertainties—including tariff impacts and regional supply chain dependencies-is no longer optional. It is a defining factor for long-term competitiveness and growth.

In light of the above, PHDCCI is organising a roundtable, “Empowering MSMEs: Risk Ready to Navigate Market Uncertainty” on 9th September, from 3-5 pm, at Radico Room, PHDCCI, New Delhi.

This high-impact gathering will bring together MSME leaders, policymakers, financial institutions, industry experts, and innovators to explore practical strategies for managing risk and driving resilience in an increasingly uncertain global and domestic market environment. We have invited panelists from the Government of India, Small Industries Development Bank of India and the Centre for WTO Studies (Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India), among others.
